Piruettes and Instagram? Members of SND and their dance videos!
There are different ways hot to present yourself. 21st century made it easier to stay connected with the world as never. Social networks are not only for “ordinary people “, but also for dancers. USA awards prizes for social networking. Of course, the category of dance is not missing and that’s why there are some dancers awarded with the title BEST IN DANCE, like Misty Copland or Roberto Bolle. What do our dancers share on Instagram? Today, we are presenting their Instagram profiles and dance videos.
Piruettes (are and always have been) difficult, demanding and… popular! Who are the biggest piruette-lovers at SND? 🙂
Yuki Kaminaka comes from Japan. A soloist, whose technical skills are breath-taking.
He features in various classical ballet titles– as Ali in ballet Le Corsaire or as a prince in the Sleeping Beauty or the Nutcracker.
Eldar Dansaran Vandanov comes from cold Siberia. He graduated from Vaganova Academy of Dance in St. Petersburg and he’s been a member at the SND for 4 years. He featured various characters such as Ali in Le Corsaire, in the dance “Pas de deux” in Giselle or as Puss in Boots in the Sleeping Beauty. Probably, this is going to be a training for a Chinese version of the Nutcracker. 🙂
What does a classical pirouette with an unconventional ending look like? Eldar “Elvis” Vandanov will show you.
Artemyj Pyzhov is Russian and first soloist at SND Ballet. It’s not necessary to introduce him to our regular spectators. Of course, his technical skills are good too, he knows it and I don’t blame him. 🙂
Do you want to see him live? He performs Vaclav Nijinsky in the ballet title – Nijinsky – God of Dance, as Siegfried in Swan Lake and as Albert in Giselle… Yes, many main roles belong just to this first soloist.
Maria Rudenko, soloist at SND Ballet, comes from far Moscow, where she graduated from the Ballet Academy of Moscow. Due to some medical issues, she didn’t appear much on the stage during the last ballet season. However, in the upcoming season, she’s going to perform Máša in the Nutcracker.
Glen Lambrecht – Belgian dancer and another member at SND Ballet is not lagging either. Before working at the SND, he featured at the Royal Ballet in Antwerp. In the last season, he featured in the Damnation of Faust by Hector Berlioz and as Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet – Just like yesterday… From the technical point of view, the dancer has nothing to hide. 🙂 After all, have a look.
Finally, I’ll say good-bye to you with Diego Ernest Calderon Armien. Unconventional joy and temperament – yes, the season’s over!
In the second part, we will show you another must-have of our gentlemen. For performance, which makes spectators stand up from the chair, they need a specific technique and lots of strength. It’s very difficult and they must be tall. Do you finally know what we are talking about? If not, you’ll get an answer soon. 🙂
“For me, dance is a synonyme for life and freedom“ I graduated from the State Conservatory of Bratislava and the Academy of Performing Arts – Theatre theory and criticism. My positive attitude towards theatre led to my reflections on dance arts. Dancing was a part of me since early childhood. The aim of my work is not only the reflection on dancing scene but its advertisement as well. Ballet is a high-quality piece of art and that is why it should be given attention it deserves.Natália Jabůrkova
